Marsha Hinson

Grants & Contracts Administrator

Marsha Hinson is HIP’s Grants & Contracts Administrator. She joined HIP’s fundraising team in December 2022, and works closely with the Director of Resources & Communications and HIP’s accounting team on the financial tracking and reporting of government grants & contracts benefitting HIP’s Housing Counseling programs and services.

Marsha brings more than 15 years of paralegal experience to her role at HIP, having supported corporate law departments at AAA Mid-Atlantic, MBNA Bank, and CT Corporation in Delaware. During her tenure at AAA, she was heavily involved in helping to grow the company’s corporate citizenship board and its outreach events to local communities in need.

Marsha relocated to Maryland in 2019 through a Teach for America assignment in Baltimore, where she served as an elementary school teacher. She has particular interest in housing policy and education policy. Marsha earned her bachelor’s degree in Public Policy from the University of Delaware, and an associate’s degree in Applied Science in Business from Delaware Technical and Community College. In her spare time, she enjoys volunteering, visiting museums, spending time with family, and watching football – especially the Philadelphia Eagles!
