Year-round Giving – Community Investment Tax Credits

Maryland residents and businesses can make a donation to HIP of $500 or more, in increments of $50.

CITC donors earn 50% of the value of their contribution in state tax credits. We accept these donations year-round – so no need to wait until year-end as these credits are allocated on a first-come, first served basis.

Mosi Harrington Memorial Fund

HIP’s dynamic founder passed away in Feb 2022. Gifts in her memory will benefit HIP’s Resident Services programming, which Mosi was so very passionate about growing.

HIP’s Emergency Rent/Food Assistance Fund

HIP has established a fund to assist our multifamily tenants, Rapid Rehousing clients, and rental counseling clients who are experiencing economic hardships due to job or income loss, and medical emergencies. During the past 3 years, we have helped 50 individuals and families.

You can help families exiting homelessness get a fresh start in their new apartment by purchasing a few basic housewares items, kitchen supplies, bedding, toiletries and cleaning supplies.

We currently have a need for new and unused furniture and new household items for Rapid Rehousing clients who are transitioning from shelters into permanent apartments.
Additionally, if you are over age 25 and can help accompany our staff on client move-in days, and lift up to 50 lbs, please reach out.
