Palmer Park Meadows Virtual Ribbon Cutting Ceremony – Community Development Week

HIP held a virtual ribbon cutting ceremony on September 30, 2020 to mark the completion and Grand Opening of Palmer Park Meadows in Landover, and to acknowledge and thank the development team and financing partners who made it happen. The nine Net Zero Energy townhomes in the Palmer Park neighborhood represents one of only a few new construction residential projects built in this inner Beltway community in the last 25 years. The virtual ceremony was featured as part of the 7th Annual Community Development Week, hosted by the Community Development Network of Maryland.

Welcome to Palmer Park Meadows – Meet our new homeowners!

HIP broke ground on Palmer Park Meadows in September 2019, and the community was completed a year later. The Net Zero Energy ready townhomes were sold to nine first-time homebuyers earning less than 80 percent of the area median income.

We are delighted to introduce you to Jherconna Ford and Erna Vance as they discuss their homebuying journey in  the Spring of 2020 during the Covid pandemic, including enrolling in HIP’s Homebuyer Education Program.
