HIP ensures that our apartment communities are more than bricks and mortar – that they are also “home” for the residents and an integral part of the larger neighborhood.

Providing CORES-certified Resident Services programs and supportive services at our multifamily properties in Prince George’s County, Anne Arundel County, and Cecil County, Maryland, are an integral part of fulfilling HIP’s mission to serve our low-income families with children, seniors, and artists by helping them balance their lives and achieve their goals. Having a stable home is just the first step to leading a productive and healthy life.

HIP’s Resident Services programs are organized into four areas:

  1. Housing and Family Stability
  2. Health, Wellness, and Nutrition
  3. Education, Job Skills, and Digital Literacy
  4. Community and Civic Engagement

HIP’s Resident Services Coordinators assist residents primarily through individual coaching or through referrals to partner agencies in the community who share our commitment. Our goal is to improve the quality of life and self-sufficiency of at-risk and low-income community residents, and to help them sustain housing they can afford by providing assistance with basic needs, advocacy, linkages to resources and opportunities to enhance their life skills.

The RSCs are available in-person and remotely as needed and also promote economic self-sufficiency and foster civic participation by providing a wide range of program services and benefits, including events and social activities, technology training, emergency assistance, consultation and referral assistance, financial literacy education, and job referrals and resume writing assistance.
