Homebuyer Workshops

Our eight-hour intensive homebuyer education classes provide you with a comprehensive overview of the entire home purchase process. A Certified Housing Counselor trains participants to develop a budget, repair credit, determine what size mortgage is affordable, negotiate a contract, select a loan product, and prepare for the closing process.  The workshop also provides the tools needed for participants to maintain their new home and stick to a budget after becoming a homeowner.  Participants will be introduced to the most up-to-date information on available downpayment assistance programs.  Guest speakers at the workshop include real estate professionals like realtors, loan officers, and home inspectors, who will provide a clear overview of their role in the homebuying process.

This class is eight hours and is held on Saturdays.  The fee for the class is $95.  Each partipant will be provided with the comprehensive “Realizing the American Dream” training manual, and lunch will be provided.
